Nats Win To Snap 3-Game Slide – The Post
Ramonn Ortiz pitched pretty well last night, going 6 2/3’s without giving up a walk or a homer. Had Felipe Lopez not been asleep at short, the final run in the 7th would not have happened. Ortiz got a standing ovation, which might be a bit much, but hey, we want something to cheer about, they took our ¡LIVAN! from us.
The bigggest downside of the game was the Marlins reliever Renyel Pinto. He took way too long between pitches and seemingly added an hour to the game. Ugh.
C Brandon Harper singled in his first MLB at bat.
The call to arms experiment was not as successful as I would like, though the Muhas did heed the call. It was good to see them following their honeymoon. I might try another get together sometime we’ll see.
I also ran into two jockjaws in front of the Armory.

Guillen Says He’ll Be Back By the Spring – The Post
RF Jose Guillen vows to be back by spring training, so I guess we will see the first rightfielder in MLB history to play in a sling. The question though is with whom? He does not have a contract for next season because he stupidly turned down the generous offer Jim Bowden made before the season.
