WASHINGTON, D.C. —On Saturday evening, I briefly talked to Washington Nationals radio play-by-play broadcaster Charlie Slowes during batting practice. Slowes strongly emphasized that my source in my blog post about his contract status was inaccurate. Slowes did not elaborate on the length of the contract, but it would have to run at least through 2013. Good news Nats fans!

This will conclude broadcaster speculation for the rest of the season, maybe ever.
