Manager Manny Acta is growing a mustache and goatee until the team wins. Barry Svrluga wondered aloud if Acta would resemble Methuselah when that happened. Thom Loverro of The Wash. Times wants to see Andruw Jones in a Washington uniform next year. Loverro argues that it is the kind of splash Stan Kasten needs to make as a sign of good faith to the fans. Signing Jones would also mean the Nats would probably give up 18 fewer home runs a year.
