The ‘Clutch’ Conundrum – The Post
Is Ryan Zimmerman clutch? Does “clutch” even exist? In the world of sabermetrics, there is doubt about whether clutch is real. That kind of thing turns me off of sabermetrics; I’m not denying them as a useful tool, but getting too deep into them takes away some of the fun for me. It reminds me too much of STAT 200. I will defer to Don Zimmer on whether clutch is real.
UPDATE: Further confirmation: My nickname for Ryan Zimmerman is now a t-shirt. I probably need to work out one for myself.

Tonight is the first “regular” game at Nationals Park. There are concerns about getting there since this will coincide with rush hour. Dr. Gridlock (II) addressed many of these concerns in yesterday’s Post column. By the way, single game parking is now available, but you must buy it online.
It may take a few tries, but I expect the Nationals Park traffic situation to largely work itself out rather quickly.
