For the second consecutive summer, over five Sunday afternoons, The St. James in Springfield, Va. will host a half-ice broomball league.

STJ Summer Broomball 4v4 League, organized by District Broomball, is a beginner-friendly short-ice program designed for approachability and fun. Short-ice broomball is less physically demanding and features fewer rules—no offsides, no icing! The rink is divided into two sections, allowing two games to be played simultaneously.

The season starts July 12 and continues every Sunday at 2:40 p.m. until August 9

Half-ice is a good way to get introduced to broomball. District Broomball’s regular league play is a full, regulation-size hockey rink. Like league broomball, The St. James will be played on fresh, smooth ice in broomball shoes.

Ages: 16 – 99

Cost is $75 plus transactions fees (under $3 for credit cards).
