THOMAS BOSWELL – Responsibility Is His Own – The Post
Jim Bowden deserved to be fired, but the Nationals should have been upfront why he deserved to be fired. Bowden blaming the media is a weak argument for resigning and that ownership went along with it discredits them according to Boswell. I believe that keeping him around discredits ownership more as it appears Mark Lerner was keeping Bowden around due to friendship and not results.
