Rizzo gets job as GM of Nats – The Wash. Times
A day after Gordon Edes of Yahoo! Sports reported Arizona Diamondbacks executive Jerry DiPoto would get the permanent Nationals general manager job, multiple outlets are reporting that to be false. Interim GM Mike Rizzo will apparently be staying in Washington and having his interim tag removed.

I am eager to here what Edes has to say.

As for the Rizzo hire, I am okay with it, but I wish I could be thrilled about it. Apparently, he botched some waiver wire issues involving Austin Kearns and Cristian Guzman. That is very Bowden-esqe, as way some of his candor about players that were let go. However, the trade the brought Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett in while getting rid of Lastings Milledge and Joel Hanrahan looks pretty good right now. He also got Strasburg signed which was the most important deliverable he could provide.
