Ted Leonsis, Pollin family reach deal to buy Wizards – The Post
Pollins’ Statement On Agreement With Leonsis – washingtonwizards.com
Great news for D.C. sports fans broke earlier today — the family of the late Abe Pollin has agreed to sell the Washington Wizards, Verizon Center and the D.C. Ticketmaster franchise to Ted Leonsis and his Lincoln Holdings partners. Leonsis already owns the Washington Capitals and has made them one of the top tier NHL franchises (though they need to win tomorrow night) over the last few years.
I’m more excited about Leonsis having control of the Verizon Center than I am the Wizards, though I am more inclined to follow them now.
More tomorrow morning.
