I am including foul balls in this question, because I do not think it has happened yet. Has he seen four pitches in an plate appearance? Anyway, I got to watch the Nats last night and they did not even score. I passed out with the Marlins up 3 – 0 and apparently I was the lucky one, missing the next six Florida runs. Hopefully, they will do better tonight (WDCA-TV, 6 p.m.).
Nats cool off fast in Florida – The Post
The Nats got spanked and looked pretty bad all evening against Dontrelle Willis.

Surprisingly, Schneider Is Off Target – The Post
What gives? Brian Schneider is supposed to be great at throwing out runners, but to date, he has thrown more balls in the outfield than Guzman has hit there. W. Cordero could miss three months – The Wash. Times

Deal Nears For RFK Sponsor – The Post
So, it will be National Guard Field at RFK. It just rolls of the tongue, doesn’t it? I have to think that the fix was in because they picked a sponsor with the team name in it. I am sure the activist community will be thrilled that the stadium is now named after a part of the military industrial complex. Oh well, I will still call it RFK.
One more thing, how long until someone starts the Nationals Guard Blog?
United Finds a Mound of Difference at Home – The Post
An interesting article about the transformation of RFK from baseball to soccer. I warn you, this contains a graphic image of our beloved ballyard being turned into a soccer pitch. Perhaps this is some sort of karma for Hollywood taking the soccer novel “Fever Pitch” and turning it into a Jimmy Fallon-Drew Barrymore romantic comedy about the Red Sox. Good thing I went to the exhibition game so i could see the field before they messed it up. There is a great graphic too, I hope it gets some press association awards.
