Nationals’ Hernandez Puts on a Show – The Post
¡LIVAN! showed up yesterday and pitched eight innnings of shutout baseball while clinging to a 1 – 0 lead. The Nats bats, including ¡LIVAN!’s woke up in the home half and they surged to a 5 – 0 lead. In the top of the ninth, the Fish got a 2 run homer and ¡LIVAN! was pulled. Mike Stanton and Chad Cordero finished the inning to secure the big victory. The Nats, riding a three game winning streak, are 1 1/2 games out of the Wild Card.
