Blue White Roundtable: I need a miracle!

This week Nick from The Nittany Line asked the questions. Black Shoe Diaries, There Is No Name On My Jersey and Run Up The Score! have the answers too. The Nittany Blog also makes its BWR debut.

Which is worse: having your parachute fail to open while skydiving or losing to Appalachian State?

The parachute not opening is worse, but barely. While I enjoy laughing at Michigaan, I just think it will make losing to them even worse.

Is it too early to worry about the running game?

It isn’t too early to worry about the running game. I am skeptical Penn State can beat better teams by relying on Anthony Morelli who is a pure pocket quarterback; that isn’t enough these days. I like to think Penn State could pass to set up the run, because I don’t think Joe Paterno is comfortable putting games in the hands of a quarterback.

Is just a win enough to satisfy you this weekend against Notre Dame or are there qualifiers on a victory to make it acceptable?

While Dan Connor and Sean Lee picking up Jimmy Clausen to “make a wish” sounds great, a win is enough to satisfy me against Notre Dame — just get it done. That is probably how I feel about most of the conference games too. I was unsatisfied by the Florida Intramural1 win though, the running game has me very concerned and it is hard to be satisfied when you play someone with no chance to win.

I would really enjoy a Nebraska 2002 style beat down on Saturday though. I want losers like this one to suffer.

Got a ticket, praying for a ticket, or watching the game somewhere else this weekend?

I don’t have any tickets for the game. I’d love to be there, but I can’t break the bank to do it. My wife and I plan on watching it from my couch on my 19 inch TV. We’ll have our usual tailgate foods and beverages as
well.

What non-PSU game are you looking forward to this weekend?

Non-PSU game? There are others? If anyone probably Virginia Tech vs. LSU, but I tend to get so into the Penn State game that I need to chill out and get away from football when it is over.

1My wife Erica came up with this on Sunday.
