John Lannan did not have his best stuff, but still gave the Nationals 6 1/3 innings, allowing three Boston runs. The Nats had had matched the Red Sox, so the situation was pretty good in the seventh. By the ninth, the tie score was a distant memory as the Red Sox blasted the Washington bullpen for eight runs to win 11-3. Again, let’s thank Jim Bowden for putting this bullpen together. Tyler Clippard, where are you? Syracuse, yes we know, but why?

My friend Tiffany in Western Mass. is no doubt pleased by the results and I am bound to hear about it today.

The new Boston road uniforms are pretty ugly.

Between the gamers and Twitter, I don’t have a feel for the crowd breakdown. How was it?
