Eastern Illinois, Penn State’s opponent this Saturday, has a 72-year head coach named Bob Spoo. A former Purdue quarterback and assistant, Spoo tired of boucing around every few years and took the Eastern Illinois job in 1987. This year, his Panthers are 4-1 and have been a top 25 team in FCS. He has former Iowa QB, Jake Christensen, there too. The good news — Christensen is the only Hawkeyes quarterback to lose to Penn State this decade.
