MORE ANALYSIS FROM SPECIAL CONTRIBUTOR UNFROZEN CAVEMAN LAWYER

WATERFRONT BALLPARK

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m just a caveman. I fell on some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Jerry Reinsdorf frightens me! His yelling reminds me of ill tempered mammoth. I also cannot understand your city council, their rules of order and personal agendas confuse my primitive mind. But there is one thing that I really don’t understand — why would the council want to move the ballpark location to an area that has little to no economic potential outside of the stadium gates? While it could save $50 to 100 million or so, remember that is spread out over thirty years. For $2 – 3 million the city could foster redevelopment that would be on the tax rolls and provide jobs, surely that would pay for itself. But then again, I am just a caveman.
