Nats Rally, Cordero Hangs On in Ninth – The Post
Closer Chad Cordero nearly blew the game in the ninth, giving up a leadoff homerun to the ancient Julio Franco and putting the next two men on base. Thankfully, he got the 4th and 5th batters of the inning to strike out and was able to seal the deal.
P John Patterson went five innings in his first start off the DL for a no-decision. 1B Nick Johnson had two RBIs too.
