Nats, Hernandez Melt Down – The Post
Is ¡DIVAn! back? He threw his glove, hat and jacket into the stands upon exiting the game. Then he wanted them back. As for his performance, well he gave up 4 runs on 12 (!) hits over 5 2/3 innings.
The bullpen had troubles as well. Both Gary Majewski and Chad Cordero gave up runs, with Majewski’s tying the game and Cordero losing it, in part because of SS Cristian Guzman’s error.

Judge won’t block ballpark land acquisition – The Wash. Times

Blanco returns as Kim departs – The Wash. Times
GM Jim Bowden did it again. After spending the end of July talking about how any deals would be for pitching, Bowden dumped another pitcher, Sunny Kim for nothing in order to call up Tony Blanco. He picked up LHP John Halama and sent him to AAA.
“It concerns me quite a bit, but there is nothing I can do about it,” manager Frank Robinson said. “If I need a long man, we go right into our short group and there is nobody out there that can save the bullpen. [Kim] did a good job here.”
I am going to the game tonight. I want to see just how ugly the Friars road uniforms are in person.
