Hernandez Puts on Show, But Phillies End the ActThe Post
¡LIVAN! gave up three more runs than he scored, which is usually not too big deal for a pitcher, but he scored three runs, going 3 for 4 with 1 HR and 2B. He still has yet to have a strong outing on the mound and now has a 7.11 ERA. He needs ot pitch really well in his next start to avoid being demoted to Livan Hernandez.

In the end though, he did not get the loss, Mike Stanton did by giving up the game-winning run in the tenth.

The Ben’s/Jim’s challenge is now tied. This is the kind of game I could be cursing if I wind up on the wrong side of this wager.

Pitching for the NatsThe Wash. Times
A opinion column by Eric H. Holder Jr., Calvin Hill, Charles Mann and Art Monk making the case that their ownership group, lead by Indianan Jeff Smulyan IS local and is the most committed to diversity.

If they had just gotten Darrell Green to join (he’s with Malek) and Sonny, they’d be a mortal lock. Riggo would have been fun too.

Bos thinks the efforts of Peter Angelo$ to destroy the Nationals may be destroying the Orioles. I think he is on to something.
