Nats return tonight after day off

Nats Believe Replay Is Worth Another LookThe Post
Instead of whining about instant replay, maybe the Nats ought to just move on and wait for it to even out over the next 161 games. Had this play happened tonight instead of on Opening Day, it would not have been that big of a deal. Also, they might want to protest a close call next time. If there is one thing Frank Robinson does really well it is protesting close calls.

Timely hitting a focus for NatsThe Wash. Times
The story remains the same — the Nats strand a lot of baserunners.

Not surprisingly, G. Gordon Liddy’s favorite D.C. paper is not too crazy about Congress getting involved in the MASN vs. Comcast dispute. They call out the D.C. Council. Most important, they call out Peter Angelo$ and Bud Selig.

Angelos to testify on Nats’ TV dealThe Sun
The real Nats TV issue is why Angelo$ holds the TV rights in the first place. If that is not the direction the hearing takes, I don’t see any point to it.

By the way, Elrod Hendrick’s widow wants you to know what kind of organization Angelo$ runs.

I heard an MASN ad on the radio this morning blaming Comcast for the Nats not being on Comcast. In reality, the reason is MLB allowed Angelo$ to extort acquire the Nationals TV rights. Perhaps it is time to give him a call again — (410) 685-9800.

Tonight’s matchup has John Patterson starting for the Nats and Brian Bannister for the Mets.

PRESS RELEASEWashington Nationals host FanFest on Opening Day Tuesday, April 11thnationals.com
The decision to take the whole day off from work is looking even smarter.

The Nationals FanFest is free for fans with tickets to Tuesday’s game and will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at game time (first pitch is at 1:05 p.m.). Fans will enjoy many attractions; including a speed pitch machine, batting cage, moon bounce, obstacle course, slides, dunk tank, and much more.

I am hoping against hope that Bowden volunteers for the dunk tank. So much money could be raised for charity — think of the childrens, Jimbo!

Now all we have to do is figure out where to go after the game.
