The ballpark rises; can’t tell a player without a scorcard

For Nats’ Home, a Rapid AscentThe Post
An update on the new ballpark with a focus on the corner-free clubhouse. The construction is progressing nicely, but there are concerns over meeting the cost-cap.

When I was driving down the SE Freeway on Friday morning, I caught a quick glimpse of the construction. It looks like a good portion of the upper deck is finished.

Season’s GreetingsThe Post
This spring training, you can’t tell a player without a scorecard. Only 3 of the 70 players invited played the whole season with the Nationals. IF Melvin Dorta (ranked #1 for based on personality and interest factor by MissChatter) hopes to be one of those who makes his way onto the big club (Patriot-News).

By the way, the NY Post has this to say:

Spring is about hope and there should be hope everywhere except Washington, D.C. The Nationals’ camp will be the baseball equivalent of the early rounds of “American Idol” as they try to fill four – count ’em, four – rotation spots from the William Hungs of journeymen.

Columnist George Solomon of our Post is also quite skeptical.

Good news Loudoun County, the Nats will be on WAGE 1200 AM. DCRTV has the link to the mp3 announcement and Stan Kasten interview.

Capitol Punishment has a great rant on the latest MASN stupidity.
