Strasburg shelled on Expos night

Strasburg is rocked in his returnThe Post
Determined Strasburg should reboundNats Insider
For the first time, rookie Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg had a really bad outing — 6 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings pitched. When the Florida Marlins made contact, they took the ball for a ride — all of the six hits went for extra bases. The defense behind him did not help matters either.

Thomas Boswell writes about the honeymoon ending with Strasburg now that he has been to the DL and had a bad start.

Nationals honor Andre DawsonThe Post
Now, I don’t wish for a Nats loss ever (I do wish for a postponement or tie when they play the Yankees every three years — yay baseball bigamy!) but if there was ever a night for them to lose, it was last night. I feel this way because of all the non-native Washingtonians who have spent the last several weeks insisting that the Montréal Expos have to be honored and celebrated. Folks, if I didn’t happen here, it doesn’t matter here. Different name, different ownership, different cast of characters. Frankly, if one of my teams moved away, I want them to leave the legacy here and not take it with them. So, non-native Washingtonians pushing the Expos on us, that loss was for you. I hope you enjoyed the pinwheel Expos hats, now lets move on and get Frank Howard, an actual Washington player, in the Ring of Honor where he belongs. He meant a lot more to D.C. baseball than Andre Dawson or Gary Carter (both of whom openly campaigned to be listed as something other than an Expo on the Hall of Fame plaques) ever did.
