Washington Nationals chief operating officer Andy Feffer is leaving the franchise:
Just got off the phone with Nats COO Andy Feffer, who is leaving the organization to start a new sports venture at the end of the season.

He was the proponent of Natitude which worked out great last year (even when it wasn’t spelled correctly:

but this year…not so much:
Take back the park kind of worked though.
Some of the same problems that have long plagued the Nats — poor customer service in the park and high concession prices haven’t gone away. Whatever he said sounded like boilerplate text from marketing textbooks too — at least Stan Kasten knew and enjoyed his b.s.
When more comes out, I’ll update this post with more information.
Andy Feffer leaving Nationals organization – DC Sports Bog, The Post
I had forgotten about ““smart card” season-ticket passes and virtual ticketing” because I am not a season ticket holder. Since I hadn’t heard about it in a while, that means it probably worked.
I don’t know what direction the Nats will go, but I hope the next person in at least tries to sound like a baseball executive who knows Washington and not some generic suit. The Nats could do a lot more to embrace the city, its culture and the baseball history here, but that was never going to happen with Feffer around.
LASTLY
Dear @nationals: Now that Mr. Feffer is leaving, please bring back fireworks so @CharlieSlowes gets his HR call back. Thanks. @dcsportsbog
