ALEXANDRIA, Va. — After the rainiest year on record and a November snowfall, the Washington, D.C. region’s first snowfall of 2019 began around 2 p.m. After light snow through the day, it picked up after sunset and as of about 10:30 a.m. measures 6½ inches! This is the most Alexandria has gotten since Snowzilla on January 23, 2016 when we got over 15 inches.
It should be a good day for a sledding and that will updated in future reports.
