Soros Joins Ledecky’s Bid For Nationals – The Post
You may recall George Soros from last year’s presidential election. He is a billionaire liberal activist who spent a lot of money to unseat President Bush. The Post does not mention this fact, only pointing out his efforts to spread democracy abroad. The Wash. Times does mention it and suggests that his presence may not go over well with the mostly conservative MLB ownership. Also, The Post suggests that Stan Kasten is still putting together a bid, but The Wash. Times reports that he is looking to join one of the existing groups. WWN reported on April 21 that Washington Baseball Club (Malek group) was looking into starting negotiations with Kasten.

I may have been too generous.
